Hello, my name is Kandi Knippa and I am the President of the Texas Junior Polled Hereford Association. I am also a director for the National Junior Hereford Association. Welcome to our website!  I attend Texas A&M University and I love Polled Hereford cattle.   Polled Herefords are a great breed to show and work with because they are very gentle.  There is a lot more to the Texas Junior Polled Hereford Association than just showing cattle.  It’s a great place to make friends, develop leadership skills and have lots of fun at the same time.  We have a four day Junior State Show each year in June.  This is a great way to get more involved in the association.  There is always a lot happening at the show.  You can exhibit both owned and bred & owned heifers, as well as steers, cow/calf pairs and bred & owned bulls.  There are also speech contests, team marketing, team fitting, livestock judging, quiz bowl and poster and photo contests.
